Use this guide to help answer the questions you have about current COVID-19 protocols at HBIC!

All services are currently being held indoors.

Masks are optional, but we do provide a masks-required section for those who don’t prefer to sit with unmasked individuals.

That is okay! Everyone has a different level of comfort. We invite you to please do what you feel is best for you and your family. Our 9am service will be live-streamed and we encourage you to worship with us virtually if you are able.

Many us have been following and engaging online. This is vital for our community right now, and we plan to continue to offer live-streaming for our 9am service, accessible on our YouTube Channel (@Harrisburg BIC Church).

If you have been exposed to Covid-19, or if you have any signs or symptoms of illness, please stay home and worship with us virtually.

·      Hand sanitizer stations will be available at entries and exits as well as throughout the building.

·      We have our HVAC system set to ensure that air is always circulating in the sanctuary. Filters are scheduled to be replaced regularly. Doors will be open to allow for better airflow during the service.

·      We will gather data and feedback from those attending services to help us strengthen our procedures.

Members of the pastoral staff and/or our prayer team will be available at the close of each service and will follow careful guidelines in how they listen and pray for you.

We will not be passing offering plates during the services. We will have an offering box available at the welcome table, or you can mail a check to the church. If you prefer giving online, visit our website “hbic.church” and click on “Ways to Give” on the main menu.

On weeks that we will have communion, the elements (pre-packaged, individual servings) will be made available for you to pick up at the check-in table. If you are worshipping at home, we encourage you to prepare your own communion elements before the service begins.

We offer Youth Sunday School for grades 6-12 during both the 9am and 11am services in the Large Youth Room. Youth will dismiss from service after the pastoral/congregational prayer.

We offer children’s classes during both 9am and 11am services. We currently offer a 2 year olds and under class, a 3-4 year olds class, and a K – 5th grade class. K – 5th grade children sit with their families at the start of the service and will be dismissed after the pastoral/congregational prayer.

If a group wants to meet at the church building, they must adhere to our building protocols. Please reach out to the pastoral staff for approval before hosting your meeting.
