Rodney joined Harrisburg Brethren in Christ Church in 2002 after graduating from Messiah University. Rodney chose HBIC due to its focus on fostering a diverse community with Christ at its core. Early on at HBIC Rodney had the pleasure of teaching the fourth and fifth grade Sunday school class which is where he first became interested in teaching. Rodney became a CPA in 2004 and has held several positions relating to audit and finance and is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting at Messiah University. One thing that the HBIC community appreciates about Rodney as Treasurer is his holistic approach when discussing the church’s resources, while important, it is not all about the money. Rodney is married to Molly Hayes Sauder and he has three daughters. They enjoy hiking, canoeing, camping and just having adventures together.
